Shoe of the Day #13/Alexander McQueen Look Alike

First Shoe of the Day for 2012:  Alexander McQueen's Faithful Cutout Ankle Boots.

I have to say.....I WANT to love these, however, I just don't.  Especially for $930.  I better be "head over heels" for a shoe to ever pay $930!  I DO think these would be cute w/a pair of ripped jeans that covered the top part of the shoes.  Still wouldn't pay $930, tho.

Obviously, Faithful is a celeb fav, but....celebs don't always have the best taste (ever watched Fashion Police?).  Enough said.

Like them, but don't have the extra grand to spend on them?  Meet Morgandy from JustFab.
Have to do a double take?  Me, too.  Obviously, once you look again, you can spot the differences, however, for $890.05 LESS, they're close enough!  ;)  Morgandy comes in black (shown above), and red.  Best part:  Morgandy is only $39.95 w/FREE shipping!  Not a JustFab member yet?  Even better....sign up & get 20% off your 1st purchase!!  Opinions?  I'd love to hear them!

Aaaand....that's all I've got for today!  Don't have time to throw together an outfit for Morgandy, as I have to do LOADS (like 7 loads) of laundry, clean, & run errands....BLEH. I *will* put together an outfit & update the post (probably tonite/tomorrow), so check back!

Bored?  Check out my Happy New Year post!  Let me know what resolutions you made, if any!  Don't make any....why?  Just don't feel like it/don't believe in them?  Lemme know!  :)

Shoe of the Day # 11

Meet Danielle.  Now, I've been looking at Danielle since I first saw her, and I alternate between thinking "UGLY" and "Really Cute"!

Danielle also comes in black, but for some reason, I like the gold better.  Thoughts?  Would you put Danielle in the Ugly category, or the Really Cute category?  I'm definitely starting to lean towards Really Cute.  Especially with the outfit below!

Outifit:  Shirt/Jeans, H&M.  Necklace/bracelets/shoes, ShoeDazzle.  Handbag, JustFab.

**Don't miss out on yesterday's post, if you aren't already a member of Julep! It is a monthly Nail Polish/Mani/Pedi club!  Get your 1st month for ONE PENNY (code "SHAREON")!!  You can sign up, place your order, then cancel after you receive it if you don't want to stay a member, but for a penny it is definitely worth getting the 1st order!  You get 2 polishes & a couple extra things, depending on what package you choose!

Nail Polish Lovers! Meet "Julep".

I know there are LOTS of ladies out there who are as much in love with mani's/pedi's/nail polishes as I am with shoes, so I figured I'd share my latest find!  Julep.  In a nutshell, Julep is a mani/pedi club.  You get the seasons hottest polish colors and/or trends every month for $19.99 (see end of post for code to get 1st month for a PENNY)!!

Signing up for Julep is similar to signing up for the shoe clubs (Shoedazzle, JustFab, etc), where you take a "Style Profile/Quiz" so that they can select colors/products they think you will like best.  If you don't like what they choose, you can browse other selections and order one of those, or just skip the month!  No credit card info is asked for until you place your 1st order. When you sign up and place your 1st order, you become a "Julep Maven" (Maven perks include a referral program:  refer 2 friends, get a month for yourself FREE!).

My quiz pinned me as a "Bombshell", which I DID like the colors in that package, however, I REALLY liked the red & silver in "American Beauty", so that is the package I chose!

Need more info?  Here's a bit from Julep's site:  Julep's beauty experts will compile a beautifully packaged box with over $40 worth of runway nail color and leading-edge, professional quality Mani Care and Pedi Care products. You'll be treated to a Julep favorite nail color each month, along with award winning products like our Julep Facial for Hands Glycolic Scrub, Julep Everyday SPF Hand Cream, all natural Julep Essential Cuticle Oil (with roller-ball). Everything you need to be fashionably on-trend and beautifully manicured!

What you'll get:
Over $40 worth of gorgeous, long-wearing, and toxin-free nail colors along with cutting edge mani and pedi products that are just your style
  • New releases and cult favorites - delivered FIRST to you, before anyone else
  • 20% off all julep.com purchases (not valid on gift certificates or Maven subscriptions)
  • Free shipping
Still not sold?  I wasn't either.......UNTIL a friend on Facebook posted a code (thanks, Jessica T) to get the 1st order for $0.01!  Yes, ONE PENNY.  This is not a joke, or spam, or any kind of trick.  I placed my order yesterday, was charged ONE PENNY, and already received an email saying my order was shipped (I can post a copy of my email/receipt for skeptics, if you need proof).  Seriously, anyone can afford a penny!  Sign up & get your order!  Not sure when/if the code ("shareon") expires (I did use mine yesterday 12.20.11 and it worked) so hurry!  Not into mani's/pedi's?  It makes a GREAT gift set for mom/sister/friend for her birthday (and they don't need to know you only paid a penny)!

Shoe of the Day # 10

Hello, hello!  Its been a couple days since my last Shoe of the Day post.....sorry!  Had to finish Christmas shopping, then yesterday had to go to Boston for a check up (I was diagnosed with eye cancer in 2008) so I haven't really had too much time to find a shoe and post it!  :)

Anyways!  How are all of you doing?  Got all your Christmas shopping done (or whatever preparations you do for the holiday that you celebrate)?  If you're like me, you could use a little eye candy right about now (hey, its the ONLY candy that won't go right to the "muffin top"!).  So, meet Akasha!  Shiny black patent, and glittery gold.  Ahhh, I'm in lust!

Ohhhh, boy.  If I didn't just spend all our money on Christmas gifts, I would 110% order these!!!!  For those who have followed the blog for awhile, you know I can NOT wear pumps...they flip flop off of my feet (yes, I've tried going down 1/2-1 size, tired the heel grips, etc. Nothing works).  HOWEVER, this Mary Jane style I could SO wear!  With that cute gold strap, my feet would stay secure in the shoe.  Ohhh, I want.  Hopefully these will still be in stock when my budget allows for a splurge!  Yes, they're only $39.95 (free shipping), however, Christmas REALLY puts a dent in the budget, and we always have to play "catch up" for a month or so afterwards.  Oh, well.  I can fantasize!  ;)

Outfit:  Dress, Forever 21.  Shoes, ShoeDazzle.  Bracelet, Send the Trend.  Clutch, JustFab.

Shoe of the Day #6

So, have you heard that song, "Dangerous" by Kardinall Offishall f/Akon?  If so, I'm sure you know the line "mad heels like Jessica P".  Who is Jessica P?  She is a celeb stylist (having worked with Cate BlanchettUma ThurmanMariah CareyEmily BluntRachel Weisz, and Kate Beckinsale)!!  She has been working with JustFab for awhile now, and has recently launched the Jessica Paster Winter Collection for JustFab!  I decided to use one of the shoes from that collection for today's Shoe of the Day!  Meet Ambrielle!

Ambrielle also comes in Black/Gold, but I love how the red really stands out!  You could wear Ambrielle w/a cute gold dress, or go "dress casual" like the outfit below (which is what I'd do).

Outfit:  Tops/Jeans, Polyvore.  Shoes/Handbag, JustFab.  Earrings/Bracelet, Send the Trend.

Shop for a Cause (BCAM)!

October.  Not only do I love Fall (although HATE what comes after...the "W" word.  Yuk!) for the coziness of it~hoodies, sweats, boots, hot chocolate, baking apple pies/crisp, etc, BUT it is also Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Companies make it SO EASY now to get fashionable products while helping out a great cause, because lets face it....in this economy, not many of us have the $$ to donate to a good cause AND still shop.

I thought I'd make it easy for those of us on a budget to see a bunch of these products all in one spot, so we can shop for a cause!  :)

Hadley, from JustFab (who now has Kimora Lee Simmons as their President & Creative Director!) is a super cute way to support the cause, with 100% of its profits going to Triple Step Toward the CureEven better:  NEW JustFab customers get 50% off their 1st purchase!  So you can get Hadley for just $20!!

ShoeDazzle has 5 products that they'll donate 10% of the profits to Susan G. Komen!  I ordered Beth last year....MUCH nicer looking in person!  Very cute bootie!  This year, I ordered Zoom, which arrived yesterday (pic below)!  Zoom is definitely going to be my weekend-running errands shoe!  :)  ShoeDazzle also offers a discount for NEW customers!  Last I knew, it was 20% off your 1st purchase, but lately I've heard of people getting 50% off.  If you decide to join/order, let me know what discount you get!!

Zoom

BodyRock Sport features the first post-mastectomy sports bra. For every bra sold, they will donate a bra to a woman who has breast cancer!!  Also, 10% of sales from every Pink item in their collection in October will go to Susan G. Komen

Estee Lauder Pink Ribbon Collection~ $25.00 for 2 lip glosses, and accessory bag!  The Lip Design Collection shades were hand-picked by Elizabeth Hurley and include four NEW Pure Color Gloss shades (Nude Rose, Rock Candy, Brazen Berry and Extravagant Pink) in a pink accessory bag.  Estée Lauder will donate $500,000 in connection with the sales of its Pink Ribbon Collection to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Avon has 9 products that benefit Breast Cancer!  This "Pink Power" polish for example: 100% of net profit from this product ($2.27) is donated to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade!  They also have a tennis bracelet ($5.00!), watch, umbrella, reusable tote, etc that all help benefit ABCC!

Buy either bra shown from Her Room, and 20% of the proceeds go to Breast Cancer Research Foundation!

Sephora has quite a few products (make-up, lotion, etc) that will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation!  Be sure to check them all out!

Pink Hair Project
Save the Tatas has a "Pink Hair Project" going on!  For those who can't afford to shop (or just don't like/want/need any of the items) you can choose a donation amount (as little as $.99!!) and submit a picture of yourself.  Within 24-48 hrs, you will receive your pic back, but with PINK hair!  Then, share it on Facebook, Twitter, etc & encourage your friends to join you...hey, its only $.99!  Too silly for you?  Save the Tatas also have shirts/hoodies, keychains, water bottles/travel mugs, etc!

Dots

DotsFrom 10/1 - 12/31/11, Dots will donate the dollar amounts above for every breast cancer item sold, with a aggregate guaranteed minimum of $25,000. Susan G. Komen for the Cure!  Show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness, tweet with and you could win 1 of 2 Dots Gift cards a Day!

And, last but not least on my list.....The Breast Cancer SiteThis is FREE.  All you need to do, is click your mouse!  Go to the site (click link above), then click on the button that says "Click Here to Give - it's FREE!".  That's it.  Nice and Easy!  And, FREE for you to do!
